It smells like... Rumsfeld!

Listening to the endless discussions about Donald Rumsfeld and the band of retired Generals who are now speaking out against him, the absurd assertion by the neocon blowhard brigade of planet wingnuttia--that these Generals' are "demoralizing the troops" or "hurting troop morale" by speaking out, makes me choke up a little vomit in my throat every time I hear or read it.



This video is from 2004! Real soldiers knew this guy was full of shit long before the Presstitute Corps or the recent wave of neocon intelligencia started confessing their sins by belatedly speaking out between tee times or during their book tours.

What kind of morons do these bastards think the core of our military is comprised of? You couldn't find a Soldier, Sailor, Airman or Marine below the rank of E-7 who would have anything positive to say about our current 'Secretary of Offense'. They know incompetence when they see it.

Even my self-professed "Hardcore Republican" friends who are currently serving active duty--several of whom recently returned from one or more tour(s) of duty in either Iraq and/or Afghanistan--spit scorn and drip contempt in every conversation where this assholes' name is mentioned. References to him always involve colorful language and often include interesting scenarios consisting primarily of some quality "alone" time in a locked room with him.

The part of the video I find the most surreal is when this fuck-knuckle says, "As you know, you go to war with the Army you have. Not the Army you might want or wish you had at a later time". WTF?

I say BULLSHIT! This was a pre-emptive war. That means these bastards CHOSE to go to war. And as any military commander, Tom Clancy fan or fourteen year old who's read Sun Tzu will tell you - when you CHOOSE to go into combat - you do so with a highly-prepared and fully-equipped force that's been trained to a razors' edge for ALL aspects of their declared mission!

Oops I forgot... The declared mission has already been "accomplished"!

I suppose I should take some heart though. The more this President and his unholy cabal of evil overlords continue to ignore the growing chorus demanding REAL change in ALL areas of how we conduct ourselves as a Nation, the faster the acceleration towards inevitable destruction the "conservative" war-hawk movement races

I've got a lot to say about this walking waste of oxygen so I'll have more posts about him coming soon. In the meantime have a chuckle and take a look at what comes back when you go to Google News and type in Rumsfeld. Apparently the military isn't the only place ol' Rummy is running out of friends.

UPDATE: I found this great archive article from Warblogging.com on a link from the comments in Crooks & Liars. It shows how Rumsfeld didn't give a damn what the likely outcomes in this war were. Another of many examples of exactly how big of an asshole Rumsfeld is.
