and a great big booming voice from the sky decrees the following...Dear Nate,
While we genuinely appreciate the kind words you have posted on your blog about the film "Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room", on behalf of the film’s distributor and producers I must ask that you remove the film from your website immediately, as it is being streamed without proper authorization.
Thank you for your kind cooperation.
Best regards,

Business & Legal Affairs
Magnolia PicturesNow for those of you who don't know; the "Busines & Legal Affairs" department is also known as the
"Quit ripping us off you piss-ant little blogger!" Department.
Well alrighty then Mr ever-so-gracious Corporate McKillJoy. But if Arnold's lookin' like he's leading in the polls going into the next CA Gubernatorial election, I might just make you ask me again. Something tells me if the Mr. "Head Honcho" has to ask me again, it will be in the form of a court order to cease and desist.
For those of you who still feel like checking out a great full documentary, be sure and check out the other Full Version Documentaries I have up including:
Sir, No Sir! and
Votergate!Apparently their legal departments are more interested in affecting world change for the better unlike Mr. McKillJoy above.
You ever wondered why media types still haven't figured out that "Open Source" is the best way to go. It would be the simplest thing in the world to set up a high-quality, pay-per-view webstream and they could extend the distribution reach of any production but they always seem to cling to out-dated and startingly short-sighted business models almost exclusively centered on DVD distribution.
A quick piece of advice from a web media consultant guys... You're business model is a dying model and the companies that don't start adapting their businesses to capiltalize on the demand for distributed mass web media are going to become extinct. They just won't turn into fossil fuel for greedy bastards to artifically trade in, twenty million years from now.
