One of my heroes has won a solid victory tonight in what has been one of the toughest challenges of his political career. Senator Daniel Akaka (D-HI) has defeated Congressman Ed Case's primary challenge. This was very much a Lamont/Lieberman race in reverse in another major state primary election.
The People's Will has prevailed again. Congressman Case has supported the war in Iraq since it was launched and Senator Akaka was one of only 19 Senators to vote against granting The Decider permission to play craps with the lives of hundreds of thousands of US Service Members and the stability of the entirety of human civilization for that matter.
